Rogue football website Football Leaks has revealed the details of Kostas Manolas’ transfer to Roma.
Shockingly, it was revealed the Giallorossi only own 50% of the Greek and agreed to give half of the proceeds from any sale to Olympiakos if Manolas leaves before 31 August, 2016. Why? As of now, Roma only own 50% of the player’s rights until then. Should Manolas remain past that date, Roma can buy his full rights for another €6.5 million, which is part of the €13 million they originally agreed to pay to Olympiacos.
With this in mind, it seems unlikely that Roma would sell Manolas this summer as they would only get to keep 50% of the sale price.
