Unable to overcome their differences on the transfer formula, the swap deal between Roma and Inter involving Leonardo Spinazzola and Matteo Politano is off. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the two clubs remain firm in their positions: Roma does not want to change the agreement that was reached two days ago and wants to move forward with the deal on the basis of a permanent swap deal.
Inter, meanwhile, have requested further physical tests on the player but the Giallorossi have not given the approval to do so. The Nerazzurri are now reflecting and evaluating. They would prefer for Spinazzola to arrive on a loan with an option to buy, not an obligation. The two players are still in their new respective cities and are waiting to understand if the two clubs can find a compromise despite the strong tension.
