Former Liverpool Sporting director Michael Edwards linked with Roma

Former Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards is reportedly among the top candidates to land a job at Roma.

The Italian capital club are currently searching for their next sporting executive who will take over Tiago Pinto’s position – the General Manager is set to leave Roma at the start of February.

According to Il Tempo, Edwards is the latest name to be added to the Friedkins’ long list of possible replacements for Pinto.

The American owners appreciate Edwards’ work at Liverpool between 2011 and 2022.

Edwards currently covers the position of Sporting Consultant of Ludonautics, a sports consultancy company linked to statistical analysis founded with his former Reds colleague Ian Graham.

In his experience in England (before Liverpool, he spent two years at Tottenham) he started as a match analyst and slowly moved towards sports management.
