Former Roma man Radja Nainggolan visits Trigoria

There was an unexpected visitor at Roma’s training facility this morning: former midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

The Belgian surprised some of his former teammates and Trigoria staff members, dropping in earlier today ahead of the team’s Conference League clash on Thursday against Leicester City.

He greeted several club employees and posted a photo on social media alongside one of the club’s collaborators, Rino Marzano.

Nainggolan spent four and half years in the Italian capital before transferring to Inter in the summer of 2018 in a €38 million deal that saw Nicolo Zaniolo, Davide Santon join Roma.

However, his time with the Nerazzurri was brief and after just one season he rejoined Cagliari on loan for two seasons.

In August, Nainggolan ended his 15-year stay in Italy in order to return to his boyhood club Antwerp, signing a two-year contract.
