Legendary Roma captain Francesco Totti applauded Lorenzo Pellegrini’s leadership after the Giallorossi’s defeat in Bergamo.
In his post-match reaction, Totti had high praise for Pellegrini who scored Roma’s only goal of the night, continuing his string of positive performances.
“The captain has different responsibilities compared to the rest team,” Totti told DAZN.
“Having this role, I think he understood the kind of player and person he is. He is returning to the levels that we all know he’s capable of playing at.”
“I’m super happy for him, I heard him this week and cheered him on after the missed penalty against Feyenoord. After that moment he recovered, he is the captain and an important player for Roma.”
