Roma legend Francesco Totti backed Mourinho and the Friedkin ownership in a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport.

Less than a week away from the Europa League final, Totti said, “As a Romanista I hope that Roma can win.”

“It’s a one-off game, anything can happen but I hope Mourinho can win his second consecutive trophy.”

“Dybala? I hope he can reach the final in good condition, because Roma needs him to try to win their second European trophy.”

“He deserves to play this game. I know he will do anything to be there, at least from the bench.”

“Mourinho’s future? This is football, anything can happen. It is a decision that is up to him, a decision that he and the club will have already made and will communicate at the end of the Europa League. I don’t know what the coach has decided on, but I hope he can stay at Roma.”

“The Friedkin’s silence? I cannot discuss in detail the dynamics of the club, if they have taken this path of silence I think it is their right and must be respected.”

“Since I arrived they have been consistently silent. There are those who talked too much and those who talk less.”
