Roma legend Francesco Totti took the time to address Nicolo Zaniolo’s struggles with Roma since returning from a very serious injury last season. The young attacker has failed to make the desired impact on Mourinho’s team and talks for a contract renewal have stalled for the past few months.
In a Twitch live stream, Totti said, “Do you know what his role? Where plays? I guess nobody knows.”
“He can play as a winger, but he lacks the right mindset to make this team entirely his. There’s different categories in football. There’s good players and champions. If you want to make the the necessary step forward, you need to have the right mindset.”
