Roma legend Francesco Totti was recently asked to clarify his criticism of Giallorossi attacker Nicolo Zaniolo following his comments claiming the 23-year-old lacked “the right mindset.”
“Sometimes what I say can be exploited for headlines, maybe it’s better that you don’t let me talk anymore then…” Totti said in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.
“I simply said that in order to be great you have to grow under all points of view, on and off the pitch. That’s all I meant,” he added.
“The campaign is still long. We all hope the team can return to the Champions League, I believe that for the fans it is the minimum goal, even if I know that finishing in the top four is not such a simple feat.”
