Roma legend and former club captain Francesco Totti was once again asked about his decision to remain in the Italian capital for his entire career, dismissing some major offers from some of the biggest clubs in the world including Real Madrid.
The Italian footballing legend spoke to GOAL during an event in Istanbul, Turkey.
“I’ve only had one great love in life, and that was Roma,” said the former captain. “That was my whole objective, my purpose. My objective was to begin and end my career with the same club.”
“No other club could have convinced me to leave the capital,” he concluded.
