Roma legend Francesco Totti was recently asked about the possibility of returning to his boyhood club and reuniting with Daniele De Rossi.
In an interview with Rai Sport, Totti commented on seeing his long-time teammate and friend on the sidelines as the Giallorossi head coach.
“It’s an immense joy to see Daniele lead Roma. Even if the road is still long, this is the right path to take,” he said.
“I’m happy for Daniele, for Roma, for everyone, because that’s what this city deserves. Being a coach in Rome is not easy, then taking over from Mourinho is very complicated, but Daniele is building a great future with his desire, energy and Roman spirit.”
“My future with De Rossi? Anything can happen in the future, we’ll see.”
