Roma legend and former captain Francesco Totti spoke about a number of topics in a recent appearance on a live stream of BePiTV, where he discussed Paulo Dybala’s impact on the capital club as well as his infamous relationship with current Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti.
“I think Dybala can be a very important player and express himself at very high levels,” Totti said of Roma’s big summer signing. “He’s adapted very well to Roma, he clearly loves it, and I hope he can continue this way.”
“Mourinho vs Karsdorp? I don’t know the dynamics of what went on behind the scenes and I don’t want to pass any judgement. It’s too easy to talk when you’re looking from the outside in. If Mourinho made the decision to talk about it publicly then so be it. The manager can do anything he likes.”
“Spalletti? I’d like to talk to him again and I think it will happen soon. He made me a better player and I was at my best with him. He switched roles for me and I had a great relationship with him. I was sad that it ended the way it did. He is still one of the best coaches around. No one is capable of fielding a team like he does.”
