Roma legend Francesco Totti weighed in on Daniele De Rossi’s progress as the team’s head coach.

In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Totti spoke about his close friend and former teammate.

“I hope that Daniele stays at Roma for a very long time. First because he deserves it and second because it will mean that he will be doing well.”

“I hope for a good future for the club, I hope that Roma will return to playing important competitions because the city and the fans deserve it.”

“A future at Roma? Daniele is a great coach and we are seeing it if I were to become director I don’t know, right now they have other ideas at Roma, they make other choices and it doesn’t depend on me. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here.”
