RomaPress – It’s been three months filled with negotiations, lawyers, legal jargon, and paperwork. A conclusion, though, is getting closer: Dan Friedkin is nearly ready to become the new owner of AS Roma.
After the California-born tycoon found an agreement in principle with James Pallotta for the sale of AS Roma, his legal team have been completing all of the due diligence surrounding the nearly dozen properties that form the capital club. This due diligence is expected to be completed within the next week and then the parties will begin to close the entire operation.
A legal executive of The Friedkin Group, who chose to remain anonymous, spoke exclusive to RomaPress regarding the situation.
“It will obviously close before the 31st so (closing the sale) by the 26th isn’t farfetched. Like I’ve said, this is several properties changing hands so this entire month has been about getting everything in order”.
“I’d give it another week to have a clearer picture, but (closing on) the 26th seems plausible”.
