Roma intend to make Daniele De Rossi their permanent head coach.
The legendary club captain returned to Roma in January as the Giallorossi were in full blown emergency following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal and poor results mixed with bad performances.
De Rossi’s impact was immediately felt and the team responded to the new coach’s instructions right away, delivering 9 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses in 13 games – a win rate of 77.8%.
According to Leggo, Roma President Dan Friedkin is extremely pleased with De Rossi’s work so far and intends to meet with the young coach next month to rediscuss his contract.
Friedkin wants to offer De Rossi a long-term deal: at the moment this is the likeliest scenario with Roma being ready to embrace De Rossi as their long-term option on the bench.
