Friedkin appoints two more executives for Roma

RomaPress – Roma are set to appoint more important figures at the club for the second week in a row.

The presence of two of Dan Friedkin’s lawyers in the Italian capital this week has proven decisive: just one week after formalising an agreement with Stefano Scalera to become the new General Director of the club, the Giallorossi are also set to hire two more individuals.

The first is Francesco Pastorella, who will help oversee the club’s relations with the city of Rome, the supporters, and various local organisations.

Pastorella has vast financial, marketing, and public relations experience after spending the previous 12 years of his professional life at GECO Animation, a company that specialises in animation and public events.

He has worked with Roma in the past during his tenure at GECO as he helped organise and oversee several events put on by the club, including functions related to Roma Cares.

Meanwhile, the club are also set to hire lawyer Lorenzo Vitali, formerly of the firm Cleary Gottlieb.

Since acquiring Roma, President Dan Friedkin has primarily been utilising his own, in-house attorneys from The Friedkin Group instead of using Rome-based law firm Studio Tonucci — who were used regularly by former club President James Pallotta.

However, since nearly all of attorneys of The Friedkin Group are primarily based in Houston, Dan Friedkin was keen to bring someone who is based in Rome.
