RomaPress – Dan Friedkin’s takeover of AS Roma is now closer than ever. The American automotive tycoon arrived in Italy three days ago as he awaits the final due diligence and then the closing procedures to take place before becoming the new president of the Giallorossi.
Friedkin has flown between London, Torino, and Milano in recent days as his American-based legal team are waiting on some final items related to the due diligence to arrive from Roma. The original hope was that the deal would be closed by 26 January – however, it is more than likely that the club will not officially change hands until the first or second week of February.
Friedkin has been engaged in talks with Roma since October and those involved with his legal team are confident a deal is imminent, citing Friedkin’s arrival in Milano as a sign that the closing documents are almost ready.
