Friedkin arrives in New York, Pallotta speaks on due diligence

John Solano

RomaPress – The signing process of the preliminary contracts for the sale of AS Roma continued today in New York City.

Representatives of The Friedkin Group arrived in the Big Apple over the weekend after the signing process commenced in Houston on Friday.

With over 650 pages to review and numerous law firms being involved in the process, it’s no surprise that some time will be needed.

Both parties want to have all of the documents signed by Wednesday at the very latest — with some of those inside The Friedkin Group believing that they could finish things on Tuesday.

Late today, though, a report from Sky Sport emerged stating that The Friedkin Group did not even finish the due diligence process of the potential acquisition. However, those at Friedkin were swift to deny this to RomaPress and reiterated that some of the preliminary contracts have, in fact, already been signed.

Even current Roma president James Pallotta was perplexed by Sky Sport’s report when talking to RomaPress, “I have no idea why they said that”.

Twelve companies are involved in this deal — things are progressing normally.
