Friedkin Group executive: “We remain interested in purchasing Roma”.

RomaPress – It’s a deal that was essentially completed before the outbreak of the Coronavirus, which has changed the entire global economy.

Today, a legal executive of The Friedkin Group spoke exclusively to RomaPress about what the current situation is regarding the proposed sale of AS Roma to the Texas-based consortium.

“COVID-19 changed everything for us. Our analysts believe it could take a few years for our entire portfolio to recover”, he stated.

”The interest in acquiring Roma remains — that’s not in question. But we still have to get an idea as to what the future holds not only here in the United States but also abroad”.

”Obviously some important decisions must be made soon and they will be done in due course, but to say that the deal is ‘dead’ is wrong. Ryan (Friedkin) is especially enthusiastic about the prospect of acquiring Roma”.

“Evaluations are still being made”.
