It was a busy day yesterday for Dan and Ryan Friedkin.
The father-son pair were officially confirmed as the new President and Vice President, respectively, of AS Roma by the club’s shareholders — but that’s not all.
PagineRomaniste reports that the Friedkin’s also met yesterday afternoon with Virginia Raggi, the mayor of Rome.
The meeting was held in secret at the US embassy on via Vittorio Veneto. There’s little doubt about the primary theme of the summit between the sides: the Stadio della Roma.
Raggi recently reiterated her optimism that the project will receive the final approval before Christmas and with this week’s departure of Roma executive Mauro Baldissoni, it will be the Friedkin’s who see out the the club’s stadium undertaking.
