Friedkin prepares for closing acquisition of Roma

RomaPress – Within 48 hours, AS Roma will have a new owner and president in Dan Friedkin.

The American will close the acquisition of the Giallorossi on Monday morning, which will officially signal an end of the nine-year tenure of James Pallotta.

Ahead of the closing, legal delegates have touched down in London yesterday as they prepare for the first portion of the closing. After completing the necessary documents in London, all eyes will be on Rome as the law firm DLA Piper will finalise the closing of the deal at 10.00 CET.

Dan’s son, Ryan Friedkin, has been in Europe since the last week of July and will not have to complete the Italy-required 14 days of self-isolation. He can be present at the closing of the deal and he is expected to be so.

Meanwhile, Dan Friedkin, not Ryan, will be the new president of the club (which has been confirmed by Il Tempo and CorriereGiallorosso) and will be joined by fellow Friedkin Group members in the club’s new Board of Directors: Brian Walker, Eric Williamson, Analaura Moreira Dunkel, and Marc Watts.
