Roma’s sporting director role is currently vacant, but The Friedkin Group is taking their time as they want to appoint an important name to the post.
Leggo reports that the Giallorossi considered appointing an interim sporting director for the upcoming season until next year, but this hypothesis hasn’t convinced anyone.
Friedkin is aiming for a top-level executive for the role and in pole position is Juventus director Fabio Paratici.
The 48 year-old could leave the Bianconeri when the transfer market closes in October and he has long been the preferred choice of Roma. He also has a very strong relationship with Giallorossi CEO Guido Fienga, who will oversee the club’s transfer market campaign this summer.
