Friedkin’s will take tonight to reflect on Fonseca’s future

John Solano

RomaPress – Roma manager Paulo Fonseca is at serious risk of being sacked following this evening’s Coppa Italia embarrassment at the hands of Spezia.

The Giallorossi were defeated by a scoreline of 4-2 — adding insult to injury, Fonseca mistakenly used a sixth substitution in the game, which would have handed the Ligurian side an automatic victory had Roma managed to come back and win.

Following the loss, the Portuguese tactician met with Roma President Dan Friedkin, Vice President Ryan Friedkin, and General Director Tiago Pinto for nearly one hour.

No definitive decision has been made yet by the American owners and they will take tonight to reflect on the future of the former Shakhtar Donetsk manager.
