Roma are desperate to address their problem at right back this summer and could look to Argentina for a solution.

Argentine radio program Closs Continental has reported that the Giallorossi are extremely interested in River Plate right back Gonzalo Montiel.

Reportedly, Roma will offer €11 million for the 23 year-old, who made 19 appearances in 2019/2020 and earned 2 assists, before the end of the week.

Roma currently have a logjam of names at right back, but no one has yet to cement their place as Paulo Fonseca’s first choice. Alessandro Florenzi, Davide Zappacosta, Leonardo Spinazzola, Bruno Peres, and Davide Santon have all featured in the role for the Giallorossi this term.

Roma will also welcome back Rick Karsdorp, who spent this past season on loan at Feyenoord — with the list of names in the role certain to grow.
