Benfica goal-keeper Mile Svilar is nearing a switch to Roma as a free agent ahead of the summer window, reports from Belgium claim.
According to sports outlet Walfoot, Svilar – who nationally has represented Belgium – has agreed to a 5-year contract with the Giallorossi.
The player was highly requested by Jose Mourinho and Tiago Pinto was familiar with him from his days at Benfica.
The 22-year-old Svilar will serve as a second-choice goal-keeper behind the veteran Rui Patricio.
This will represent Roma’s first signing of the upcoming transfer window.
