From Brazil: Roma have agreement in place for Santos defender Matheus Guedes

Brazilian outlet Globoesporte has reported that Roma are closing in on highly rated Brazilian defender Matheus Guedes. Reportedly, the Giallorossi are ready to bring the 19 year old, left-footed defender on a free transfer to the Italian capital once his contract expires on 31 March. Santos had registered a contract proposal to prevent the action of Brazilian clubs, however, the legislation doesn’t protect the club in case offers arrive from abroad. Therefore, the player can transfer to the Giallorossi as early as April as Santos won’t receive any compensation for the youngster.
