From England: Roma also interested in Bournemouth technical director Richard Hughes

Following Tiago Pinto’s departure earlier this month after three seasons, Roma remain on the hunt for their next sporting director.

Numerous candidates have been rumored for the position, and the latest addition to the list comes from English outlet The Telegraph, which reports Bournemouth technical director, Richard Hughes, is also a contender.

Their report claims the Giallorossi and Newcastle United are both keen on swooping-in for the 44 year-old—who’s spent the previous near decade with the Cherries and played a vital role in the club’s recruitment strategy. His future has been a major question mark throughout the season and it’s possible he leaves the club for a new opportunity.

Interestingly, Hughes, an ex-Scotland international, isn’t a stranger to Italian football. He spent seven years in Atalanta’s youth set-up in the early 90s before joining Arsenal’s academy in 1993.
