From England: Roma want West Ham’s Obiang

talkSPORT: Roma are reportedly keen to take West Ham’s Pedro Obiang back to Italy.

The dynamic midfielder arrived in east London from Sampdoria last summer, but started just 11 Premier League games during an injury-affected first campaign. He has added seven more appearances this season for the Premier League strugglers and there is now renewed interest in signing him.

As talkSPORT told you in September, the Hammers blocked a late attempt by Fiorentina to sign the 24-year-old during the summer transfer window. Now they are bracing themselves for more interest from Serie A this January with Roma sniffing around.

The Stadio Olimpico club know all about him following his success at Sampdoria and they have scouted him since his move to England. A busy transfer window is expected for the club and Obiang could be one of the incoming players should West Ham decide to sell.
