Nemanja Matic is reportedly keen on leaving the Italian capital after being linked with a move to France.
The Serbian midfielder was recently approached by Stade Rennais who offered him a three-year deal worth €3 million per season.
According to French news portal Footmercato, Matic has asked Roma to let him go only a few weeks away from the first Serie A matchday.
The ex-Manchester United man wants to join Rennes as his Roma contract is set to expire a year from now.
Roma will only let the player go once they find a suitable replacement. The club have shown interest in PSG’s Leandro Paredes.
