According to Ouest France, Nemanja Matic is edging closer to a surprise transfer to Stade Rennais.
Rennes have identified the Serbian midfielder as the necessary replacement of Lesley Ugochukwu who recently joined Chelsea.
The French portal claims Roma and Rennes are in advanced talks for Matic’s transfer.
The 35-year-old has one more year left on his contract with the capital club.
