Roma are reportedly interested in Union Berlin defender Danilo Doekhi.

With the season slowly winding to an end, the Giallorossi are being increasingly linked with possible defensive reinforcements ahead of the summer transfer window.

Roma are said to be prioritizing the defense as the main department to strengthen in the summer given Dean Huijsen’s imminent return to Juventus and Chris Smalling’s likely departure.

As a result, sources from Germany claim Roma have been monitoring Danilo Doekhi as a potential transfer target.

According to Kicker, Roma have contacted the player’s entourage and made known their interest.

The Dutch centreback has one more year left on his contract with Union Berlin and is reportedly seeking a transfer in the summer.
