From Portugal: Roma’s interest in Ivan Fresneda confirmed

Roma’s interest in Spanish fullback Ivan Fresneda has been confirmed by Portuguese media.

The 19-year-old defender is reportedly a target for the Giallorossi this summer.

Roma, in fact, seem to have set their sights on Fresneda who joined Sporting Lisbon a year ago from Valladolid.

Despite having signed a contract until 2028, Fresneda is eager to leave Portugal in search of more playing time elsewhere.

This past season, the fullback collected only 290 minutes played as he was largely demoted to the bench by Sporting coach Ruben Amorim.

As confirmed by A Bola, Fresneda – previously linked with Milan – is now a target for Roma.

According to the Portuguese newspaper, Roma have renewed their interest in him after following him in his years with Valladolid.

Fresneda’s reported pricetag is of €9 million – the same fee Sporting paid for him a year ago.
