From Spain: Friedkin made attempt for Valencia before closing deal with Roma

It has been over two months since father-son duo Dan and Ryan Friedkin officially acquired AS Roma from James Pallotta.

The two parties were engaged in negotiations for almost ten months before the deal became official. However, there were various moments throughout the talks when both sides believed that the deal would not close successfully.

Today, Spanish outlet eldesmarque.com reported that before purchasing Roma, the Friedkin’s made an attempt to acquire Spanish side Valencia from current owner Peter Lim.

The Singaporean business tycoon, though, rejected all of the approaches made by the two Americans as he opted to keep hold of the club despite the tension he continues to face from the team’s supporters.
