From Spain: Monchi has informed Sevilla he’s joining Roma

El Correo de Andalucía: Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo, better known as Monchi, the sporting director of Sevilla, has decided that he will go to Roma, where he will occupy the same position that he has held in Nervión since the turn of the century.

This has already been communicated to Sevilla, according to what El Correo de Andalucía has learned. In fact, the man from San Fernando has told president José Castro that his decision is firm and that his intention is to make it effective once the winter transfer market, which is this January, is finished. Roma, if necessary, would even be willing to pay the exit clause of €5 million, a requirement that president Castro has been repeating since last summer when Monchi submitted his resignation, which was ultimately refused, however, Monchi’s contract ends this summer.
