Rumors from Spain are linking Roma with free agent Sergi Roberto.

The former Barcelona captain is out of a contract and Barcelona’s Financial Fair Play constraints may prevent him from extending his time in Catalonia.

According to Marca, Roma have set their sights on Sergi Roberto, who is currently a free agent as his contract with Barcelona expired on June 30th.

The 32-year-old midfielder received a renewal offer from Barça several weeks ago, but due to issues regarding FFP he still cannot be registered.

Faced with this situation, the player’s entourage began to move in search of a new team for him to join.

The clubs that are most interested are Juventus, Inter and, indeed, Roma.

Roberto’s main desire remains to renew with Barcelona.
