After initial rumors earlier in the summer, Roma have reportedly maintained their interest in former Real Madrid midfielder Isco alive and are closing in on him.
According to sports outlet AS, the Giallorossi are very close to agreeing personal terms with the Spanish free agent, with superstar agent Jorge Mendes overseeing the operation.
The agreement could be reached next week, with Roma wanting Isco as a direct replacement to Henrikh Mkhitaryan who officially joined Inter on Saturday.
Several other teams are interested in the 30-year-old including Sevilla and Betis, as well as Newcastle United.
