After missing out on Mario Hermoso, Turkish giants Galatasaray are said to be contending for another target linked with Roma.
With the market closed, Roma have turned to free agent Mats Hummels to further strengthen the defense.
After adding Hermoso (who is to be announced tomorrow) to their ranks, Roma want to recruit Hummels to replace the departing Chris Smalling (on his way to Al Fayha).
However, the trail leading Roma to Hummels became more complicated in the last few hours.
In fact, Turkish news portal Krampon Sports claims the player has been offered to Galatasaray.
Other sources, in Italy as well, suggest Roma are close to an agreement with Hummels.
