Earlier in the summer Roma decided to exclude young fullback Riccardo Calafiori from the club’s plans. The player briefly took part in Mourinho’s preseason in Portugal, but was forced to return to the Italian capital due to an injury he picked up in training. Since then, Calafiori has been training separately, awaiting to understand what the future might hold for him.
According to calciomercato.com, the player is now desperately pushing to find a new team after having rejected offers from Serie A. For lack of alternatives, Calafiori is reportedly willing to consider proposals from Serie B.
In fact, Frosinone have come forward and inquired about the 20-year-old’s availability. The Giallorossi will try to find a suitable destination for Calafiori before the impending transfer deadline.
