As the transfer window winds to an end, Roma are on the verge of completing several outgoing transfers including Justin Kluivert’s to newly promoted Premier League side Fulham. After weeks of negotiations, the Dutchman is set to sign with Fulham on loan with obligation.
According to Sky Sport, the obligation will be easily triggered for a total amount of €9.5 million including add-ons.
Moreover, once the deal becomes permanent, Roma will retain a 20% sell-on clause for Kluivert’s future sale.
Talks between Roma and Fulham started in July but the insistence to insert the obligation into the loan on the part of the capital club proved to be an obstacle at first. In the end, Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto and Kluivert’s entourage convinced Fulham to accept a long-term deal.
