Fulham attacker and Serbian international Aleksandar Mitrovic – one of the Premier League’s leading goalscorers this season – revealed in a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport that he previously came close to joining Roma.
The Serbian international was linked with the Giallorossi numerous times throughout the previous five years, however, a move never came to fruition.

“I often watch Serie A, I follow the Italian league with interest,” Mitrovic told the newspaper. “Many Serbian friends of mine play in Italy.”
“In the past, I’d been close to joining Roma. Could I go there in the future? I love England but never say never.”
Added the Serbian attacker, “I support Roma and Napoli. I particularly like them for their supporters.”
