Fulham’s offer for Justin Kluivert deemed “insulting” by Roma

Andy Mattioli

Talks between Roma and Fulham for out-of-favor attacker Justin Kluivert have broken off at the moment due to the Premier League club’s bid being deemed “insulting” by the Giallorossi, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

Kluivert and his entourage seemed convinced of the destination and the negotiations between clubs progressed steadily. However, over the past few days Fulham presented Roma with a bid that was far from what the capital club demanded and initially agreed on.

The newly promoted Premier League side offered €3 million plus €8 million in add-ons based on the number of appearances made (at least 50% in all competitions) and Fulham avoiding relegation at the end of the season.

Roma were shocked to receive such a low proposal after weeks of negotiations and seem to have decided to break off talks with Fulham.
