Former Roma attacker Gabriel Batistuta did not hold when confronted with Antonio Cassano’s recent statement from a few days ago. Cassano was reported saying “During my years at Roma, I f*****g hated Delvecchio and Batistuta.”
The Argentine footballer responded to Cassano’s words in an interview with La Nazione.
“To be spoken of that way by Cassano is a compliment,” said Batistuta. “When he first arrived in Rome, I saw him bewildered, lost, he was having a time settling in.”
“I spoke to my wife and we even invited him to our home. So it’s a real shame to hear him talking about me like that.”
“I feel sorry for him. He didn’t take advantage of the possibility that football gave him to grow as a person.”
