Former Roma attacker Gabriel Batistuta once again reiterated his love for the Giallorossi, recalling his time in the Italian capital in a recent interview with DAZN while discussing Mourinho’s Roma.
“Mourinho has brought enthusiasm back to the fans,” Batistuta told the Italian sports channel. “I try to catch their games whenever I get the chance.”
“My relationship with Roma is beautiful, we were a great team back then and the fans still love me,” he added. “There was a palpable willingness to win, which is very important, and Lazio’s victory the year before gave us an extra push and helped us in our Scudetto pursuit.”
“I managed to win what I had been looking for for 10 years, I have wonderful memories from that time and I must say that the year we won the Scudetto it was hard to leave the house because of how the supporters would swarm around us. The experience was beautiful.”
