Galatasaray eye Arda Turan to replace Nzonzi

After having been suspended by the club three weeks ago, Steven Nzonzi is ready to leave Galatasaray in January. The Frenchman joined the Turkish club from Roma on a dry loan but after clashing with manager Fatih Terim, he is ready to depart after just six months.

Alfredo Pedulla of SportItalia reports that Gala are lining up current former Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan as the replacement for Nzonzi, who has several interested suitors in England, France, and Spain. Should Nzonzi ultimately leave the Istanbul-based side, Roma would be forced to renegotiate with any club interested in acquiring the World Cup winner — which could prove difficult given his wages. Although Galatasaray brought him to the club on a free loan, they were paying the Frenchman’s full 3.1 million (net) salary, something that Roma will certainly request his next club do.
