Gandini: “Strootman? Justice was reestablished.”

Roma CEO Umberto Gandini appeared on Roma Radio, here are his words:

I assume there is great satisfaction from yesterday.
First off, thank you for having and good day to all. Yesterday was an important day because it was reaffirmed what he had been staying from the beginning and that we had a total reason to appeal the ban of Strootman. The use of instituting a ban using television evidence is an important rule but was absolutely misplaced in this situation. We are very happy as justice was reestablished, we have the chance to play the next matches with all of our best available.

The club seemed very committed to this effort.
What I’ve seen in my time here is a strong and cohesive club, I have a great professional relationship with Baldissoni, with whom I talk every day. I support what he said yesterday to Marotta, he said everything right. Mauro is a Roma fan, he is entitled to express his thoughts.

Roma-Milan: what kind of match are you expecting?
A well played match in which I think Milan can’t help but deploy their best weapons which are waiting and trying to counter against a team that creates their play and controls the match, which is our best weapon. I think it will be our responsibility to control the play and we have what it takes to do it. We’ll have to be careful when Milan recovers the ball and counters, they can be dangerous. They have great awareness so they’re an opponent we cannot take lightly as they are a tough obstacle on our path to excellence.

It’s an weekend.
Yes but obviously Monday will also be an important day. We find out who our opponent is in the Europa League, the Youth League for Primavera and we will know what the table looks like with the results of the weekend: we will have extra motivation to do well. We are now destined to do well and I’m very happy to be a part of this moment.
