Garcia: “I remain the number one supporter of Roma.”

John Solano

Former Roma and current Marseille manager Rudi Garcia appeared today on Centro Suono Sport. These are his words:

A comment on this incredible European week?
Tiring, but I’m happy to have experienced incredible emotions both with Roma and Marseille.

Third place in the league and semifinals of Europa League after having eliminated Leipzig. Are you enjoying this great moment?
We are doing well, but we hope to reach the final just like Roma and win this trophy because, at this moment, we have not won anything. Only football is able to give you the emotions from yesterday’s matches as well as the one earlier in the week. Yesterday we defeated Leipzig, who had eliminated Napoli, who we all know are a great team. So we are very happy.

Roma are doing well: do they your foundation in this side?
All credit goes to the current manager. He is doing very well, I saw Roma play and we (Roma fans) all experienced this extraordinary moment after qualifying against Barcelona. The credit all goes to Di Francesco and his players, some of whom that I had too. I’m especially happy for the Roma fans because it was a fantastic evening.

When you talk about the fans, you say ‘we’, so is there something left inside of you for this club?
Of course, it will remain in my heart forever. Now I only watch from afar and send congratulatory messages when they win and support when they do not, I remain the number one supporter of Roma.
