Not just Greenwood, Paixão, Nusa, or Tzolis. Gian Piero Gasperini’s new Roma vision also includes a different profile, less media-focused but perfectly aligned with the coach’s demands.

It’s Nikola Vlasic, the Torino attacking midfielder who has recently returned to the Giallorossi’s radar.

According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Croatian international is one of Gasperini’s most admired players.

This isn’t just a last-minute suggestion, but a fondness rooted in past years, when the coach had already identified him as an ideal fit for his style of football.

Vlasic possesses many of the qualities Gasperini considers essential.

Technical quality, the ability to make an impact in the final third, but above all, a willingness to sacrifice. He’s a player capable of alternating attacking plays with significant work off the ball, including pressing, recoveries, and preventative coverage.

It’s precisely this combination of talent and intensity that has attracted the attention of the Giallorossi coach, who is working with the club to build a more aggressive, dynamic, and competitive team ahead of the return to the Champions League.

Direct contact between the clubs hasn’t yet begun, and much of the transfer market remains on hold pending the official announcement of Tony D’Amico as the new sporting director.

However, this doesn’t mean the work has stopped. Intermediaries continue to move behind the scenes, and Vlasic’s name remains prominently featured on the list of potential midfield reinforcements.
