Gian Piero Gasperini is basking in the derby victory against Lazio.
The Giallorossi coach granted his team a day off today to get back into the Champions League race, which concludes tomorrow in Verona.
Celebrations under the Curva Sud, the satisfaction of having debuted with two derby victories and being one step closer to bringing Roma back to the competition after a drought that’s been going on since 2018-19.
The coach of the Roman club has always believed this team could finish fourth, and Malen’s arrival has certainly given the Giallorossi an incredible boost in their climb up the table.
Gian Piero Gasperini has won the hearts of Roma fans. The celebrations under the Curva Sud broke down the wall of coldness that separated the coach, who previously played for Juventus and Atalanta, from the hearts of the fans. A resounding success.
Gasp, as reported by Corriere dello Sport, is the second coach to win his first two Rome derbies in the last 50 years across all tournaments, after Claudio Ranieri (2009-10).
Overall, only six others have achieved such a feat in the Giallorossi’s history. A masterpiece by Gian Piero Gasperini.
