Gasperini: “An underserved defeat.”

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini to Premium Sport:

“It’s a defeat that burns very much given the result but the team has done its job and I’m happy with that. We wanted to start on the right foot and the performance was there but not the result.”

“We had a good match, and even if we struggled, we put Roma in more difficultly. We played better in so many aspects than Roma. They exploited their free kick opportunity and we got that wrong when the wall jumped and we lost the match. We did better in everything else.”
