Roberto D’Aversa, who recently replaced Baroni, is relying on his Diez to revive Torino and secure safety as quickly as possible.

Nikola Vlasic is shining this year like never before in his previous seasons with the Granata.

This is why he has also been wearing the captain’s armband for a few months, alternating with Zapata. The Croatian is now the technical and spiritual leader of the Piedmontese team.

After the defeat against Genoa, he was the only one to put his face forward and appear before the microphones to sound the alarm.

Despite everything, talks regarding a contract renewal with Torino until 2028 haven’t reached a positive conclusion.

Discussions began in December, but an agreement has not yet been reached.

Meanwhile, as reported by Tuttosport, Gasperini has his eye on Vlasic, who would like the Croatian to play alongside the strikers if they qualify for the Champions League.

The first exploratory calls have already been made from the capital to the Croatian’s entourage, who would replace Pellegrini and El Shaarawy.

Both contracts are expiring, and there’s no talk of a renewal at this time.

Therefore, Roma is keeping a close eye on the Vlasic situation.

Torino would like to secure him quickly to avoid transfer temptations. With 6 goals and 3 assists, few midfielders in Serie A are as decisive as the Croatian.
