RomaPress – Roma General Director, Tiago Pinto, attended his first training session today since he officially joined the club on the 1st of this year. The 36 year-old touched down in the Italian capital eight days ago from Lisbon after his time with Benfica came to an end after eight seasons.
Pinto was initially going to fly to the Italian capital in late December, however, he was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the 22nd of December. The positive test required him to isolate for at least ten days and then test negative within 48 hours before legally being allowed to enter Italy.
The Portuguese executive arrived in Italy last Monday and was set to travel with the Giallorossi for their midweek fixture against Crotone — but he was forced to immediately go into quarantine after he, astonishingly, once again tested positive for Coronavirus.
After spending the past week in isolation and testing negative for the virus on multiple swabs, Pinto was given the all clear and was present today at Trigoria, Roma’s training center, to take in his first training session as a club executive.
